Vincent Morelli

Cent's Pizza + Goods | Cleveland, OH

July 2025

Vincent Morelli never dreamed of being a chef, but growing up in a big Italian-American family meant that food was always at the center of any holiday or gathering. Morelli eventually picked up work at local bars and restaurants in his hometown of Cleveland before moving to New York City for an internship in the fashion industry. In New York, he spent time bartending at a popular Thai restaurant, but left to take a job as the production manager of 10.Deep, a streetwear clothing brand, where he learned how to run a small business, create a meaningful network, and build a brand.

During his time in the fashion industry, Morelli started to dream up a concept of his own: a dynamic, multi-use space where he could showcase all of his passions at once, from food and beverage to fashion, art, and design. As the vision came together, he decided that hospitality—specifically pizza—would be the centerpiece. Morelli joined the team at Roberta’s, tackling pizza and pasta making while working the line at the Brooklyn restaurant.

After saving up enough money, Morelli moved back to Cleveland in 2018 and started hosting pop-ups and supper clubs. The next year, he found a space in the Ohio City neighborhood and got to work building out the restaurant, transforming it from an empty shell into a thoughtfully designed destination. Despite some setbacks caused by the pandemic, Morelli opened Cent’s Pizza + Goods in 2021. Since then, the business has taken off, becoming a hot spot for both dining and design in the Cleveland area. Along with a bottle shop, curated sundries, and custom merch, Morelli is sharing the things he loves with guests, offering a playful menu of shareable dishes and satisfying pizzas like his Gravy with pork and beef meatballs, tomato sauce, Pecorino Romano, and basil.
