Tea Time

Lemongrass Tea, Vanilla-Orange Syrup, and Ginger Beer

INGREDIENTS:

Vanilla and Orange Syrup:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water 
1 tablespoon vnlla Extract Co. All Natural Vnlla Extract + Orange

Lemongrass Tea:
4 fresh lemongrass stalks
2 cups water

Assembly:
2 ounces Lemongrass Tea, chilled
½ ounce lemon juice
½ ounce Vanilla and Orange Syrup
2 ounces ginger beer
1 ½ ounces vodka, gin, tequila or rum (optional)
Orange slice (optional)
Candied ginger (optional)

METHOD:

For the Vanilla and Orange Syrup:
Heat sugar and water until dissolved. Add extract. Bottle and chill for up to three weeks.

For the Lemongrass Tea:
Simmer lemongrass stalks in water for 10 minutes. Let cool, strain, and refrigerate.

For the Assembly:
Shake everything except ginger beer with ice and strain into a glass over fresh ice. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with an orange slice and candied ginger, if using.
