Denver’s first Blended Burger Dinner Series DENVER (September, 2019) — Americans love hamburgers. It’s an indisputable fact. Also indisputable is the high calories and fat content of most burgers, which, when consumed in excess, often lead to obesity, high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. The Blended Burger, a 75/25 burger of protein and mushrooms, offers chefs the opportunity to make a sustainable difference on their menus. Because mushrooms can be considered one of the most sustainably produced foods in the U.S., the Blended Burger results in a much healthier, more environmentally friendly version of America’s most iconic food. Overview of the Blended Burger Dinner Series StarChefs is creating an exciting event series with several Denver chefs: the first ever Blended Burger Dinner Series inspired by the Blended Burger Project. The Blended Burger Project encourages chefs to incorporate mushrooms into their burgers. The movement not only educates chefs and consumers of the benefits of a blended burger, but the Blended Burger Project promotes a burger that is rooted in sustainability and health, as well as taste. The Blended Burger Dinner Series will run during the month of September. The following participating restaurants will feature a specially crafted, blended burger on their menu.
