After earning a degree in history from Harvard in 1980, Mark Stone embarked on a career that would bring him into contact with a wide range of industries, including finance, commodities, healthcare, technology, and even plant desalination. With a wealth of experience behind him, Stone founded Petrus International, Inc. in 1992, a consulting company that eventually opened a door into the world of hospitality and work across the globe in Asia.

It wasn’t until 2008, when Stone became the president of MM Management LLC, that he came into direct contact with the food industry. For the next eight years, he successfully oversaw and directed Chef Masaharu Morimoto in his many business endeavors, including restaurant expansion strategy, management agreements, and licensing, giving Stone invaluable exposure to the ins and outs of the restaurant world and its related transactions. Today, Stone’s sole focus is on Petrus International, Inc., where he is consulting on the strategic expansion of restaurant brands and hotel food and beverage programs, on both a national and international level.
