Kimberly Patton-Bragg has been setting new standards for the craft of cocktails for over 10 years, honing her skills at Danny Meyer's Blue Smoke in New York City before relocating to New Orleans. Since then, she's created the cocktail program at Clever, took a turn at the Swizzle Stick Bar, followed by John Besh's Domenica, then created the well-received cocktail program at Dominique's on Magazine. Patton-Bragg’s current post is behind the bar of Tamarind by Dominique, where she created the cocktail list focusing on classic Vietnamese flavors.

In addition to her work behind the bar, Patton-Bragg also works for Glazers, the region’s largest spirits distributor, doing events and spirits education. She serves as the President of the U.S. Bartender's Guild New Orleans Chapter and was recently chosen from among more than 300 international applicants to take part in the CAP program at Tales of the Cocktail (the industry's largest convention with over 20,000 attendees) for the fourth year running. In 2011, Patton-Bragg was selected from a field of hundreds of bartenders to be a contestant on season three of Absolut' s “Search for America's Top Bartender,” shown on NBC. More recently, Cointreau chose to send her to France as training to represent their brand in New Orleans.

Several publications have featured Patton-Bragg’s original cocktails, including Imbibe, Nightclub & Bar, Saveur, and The Times-Picayune. Her recipes will also be featured in the upcoming “Treme” cookbook for the HBO series. Patton-Bragg’s work—and bicycle—take her all over the New Orleans area, where she teaches seminars on the craft of cocktails, while sharpening her own skills. Her popular “Cocktail Boot Camp with the General” nights were an instant success, with many more to come.
