Mixologist Christopher Ware of Bohanan's - Biography

A Texas Tech graduate and former U.S. Marine, Christopher Ware might be relatively new to the industry, but he’s making fast and significant strides. On the early side of his 30s, Ware got his first industry job as a server, working at Orlando’s Italian Restaurant and Hayashi Japanese Steakhouse, both in Lubbock, TX. But it wasn’t long after that he began his bartending career in earnest, stepping behind the bar at Bohanan’s Prime Steaks & Seafood in March of 2010. Ware is an eager learner—on nights of he’ll drink “anything [he] hasn’t tried yet, to expand [his] palate.” He’s participataed in the Academia Mexicana del Tequilier, belongs to the US Bartenders Guild Austin Chapter, and counts cocktail great Sasha Petraske among his greatest influences (not discounting Harry Johnson, of course). Now head Bar Manager at Bohanan’s, Ware is a talented, passionate advocate of San Antonio’s burgeoning cocktail scene.
