Chef Chris Morgan of Maydan - Biography

Virginia-native Chris Morgan spent formative years cooking on the West Coast, including stints in San Francisco, Portland, and Los Angeles before returning home to DC in 2013. Since, he's worked for the likes of Jerimiah Langhorne at The Dabney and Rising Stars Alum Nathan Anda's Red Apron Butcher. He then joined restaurateur Rose Previte at Compass Rose, who approached him and soon-to-be co-chef Gerald Addison about opening a live-fire, hearth-centered restaurant. After a summer spent traveling through the Middle East, Maydan opened in late 2017.
