Annie -- If you like ginger andwant to keep it forever-fresh:Peel and slice fairly thin a good quantity. Lay slicesout separately on plate or around sides of a colander.Sprinkle lightly, but thoroughly, with sugar. Leave overnight.In the morning, drain liquid. Put ginger slices in a jar andcover with Vodka or any pure grain alcohol (the drinking kind;not the medicinal variety.) Keeps forever in the refrig andtastes FRESH!!
