New York
Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld have opened the New York
branch of London's Le Caprice, in the Pierre Hotel.
Alex Ureña has closed Pamplona after four years on East 28th Street, first as Ureña.
China Grill MGMT has converted the Ono space in the Meatpacking District into Tanuki Tavern, an izakaya-style
pub.
Former Fiamma chef Fabio Trabocchi has taken the reins at the Four Seasons Restaurant.

Armando's, the 73-year-old Brooklyn institution that was last year closed, is re-opening this fall with Chef David Ferraro, previously of Montparnasse, at the helm.
Restaurateurs Karen and David Waltuck have closed Chanterelle just short of its 30th anniversary. The restaurant was closed for renovations, but word came early this month that it would not reopen. The owners cite economic conditions as the reason for closing.
Travertine, Manuel Trevino's new restaurant on Kenmare street is now open for dinner.
Josh Grinker and Josh Foster, owners of The Stone Park Cafe in Park Slope are planning to open a Chinese restaurant nearby. The pair hopes to take over the former Tempo space on 5th Avenue, and repeat Grinker's success with his Vermont Chinese restaurant A Single Pebble.

Bob Iacavone has left Restaurant Cuvee after 9 years to focus on his family, and on Rambla, of which he is a co-owner.

Stephen Starr's first pizza venture, Pizzeria Stella, is now serving Neapolitan-style pies fresh from its wood-burning oven.

MidAtlantic, Daniel Stern's "tap room" concept, opens early this month with foods that
"celebrate the best of what was and what is to come, with a focus on
reinterpreting the roots of traditional Philadelphia foods and
Pennsylvania Dutch flavors."

Despite rumors of closing earlier this month, David Myers' Sona restaurant is still going strong. Myers split with his management company, and is now running the restaurant on his own terms, but remains open to the possibility of finding a new partner.

(k)new, Omar Rodriguez's new restaurant in Logan Square, is now open. The chef has shed most of the French influence he wore at Think for New American cuisine accented by his signature surprising flavor combinations.

San Francisco
Anthony Mangieri has relocated to California from New York and will reopen Una Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco next year.

Restaurateurs Mark Raab and Hemant Chowdhry have opened Ginger Park with executive chef Patricia Yeo. Chef Yeo's menu hearkens to her days at AZ and Sapa in New York with approachable Asian dishes.
