Ed Witt has left Morso, and the restaurant has temporarily closed.
Chef R.J. Cooper departs Vidalia, where he won a James Beard for Best Chef Mid-Atlantic. He is embarking on his first independent venture in D.C., Pigtails, which will focus on urban fine-dining cuisine.

Miami
Rocco Ancarola of Boom and Bang Miami, has opened Rabbit in the Moon, an English gastropub with Chef Brian Bieler (formerly of The Mott,Momofuku and Bouley) at the kitchen's helm.
The Forge's renovation is almost complete, after a year and $10 million, and the restaurant's new look will be revealed this month.

BOSTON
Patrick Lyons is opening a new restaurant, Towne Stove and Spirits, at the Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street. Jasper White and Lydia Shire are overseeing the menu, and chefs Mario Capone and Oscar Figeuroa will be running the kitchen.
PB Boulangerie is expanding its seating and adding a full bar and Champagne cart. The former Bakery, now Bistro-Bakery, in Welfleet, MA is run by Chef Philippe Rispoli with Baker Boris Villatte. Chef Rispoli earned a Michelin Star at the Daniel Boulud Brasserie at the Wynn Resort, Las Vegas where Chef Villatte was also Executive Head Baker.

Chef Thomas McNaughton of flour + water has three new leases for three very small new businesses: A new restaurant, Central Kitchen; a commissary with pastry department, curing rooms, and production kitchen with set dinners offered several days a week; and a full-service bar with artisanal cocktails and a small food program. Chef Joshua Skene (2010 Rising Star) gets one step closer to his "micro-economy" vision for Saison with renovations including wood burning oven, patio hearth, and extra seating.
Peter Schumacherof Buckeye Roadhouse and Bungalow 44 has opened Dish in Mill Valley. Dish is a more casual venture than his other projects, complete with cobblestone patio and a long, communal table.
Dave Mur's renegade fondue concept, Fondue Cowboy is undergoing its final health inspection and will be open soon, most likely before the end of June.

Il Matto is opening this month, serving Italian food, and mixologist Christina Bini's adventurous cocktails, some of which contain cottage cheese, lettuce, and clam juice.
Patrice Bihina-Parade is opening Lina Frey (named after Bihina-Parade's grandmother) with chef Bamba Seydou in charge of the French bistro-nouveau menu.

Keith Kornfeld is now executive chef at Southeast Asian restaurant Pranna.
Akhtar Nawab, former chef-owner of Elettaria, is now the chef at La Esquina.

Red Hook Mercado is now open in Brooklyn. The open-air market features pupusas and tacos from the Red Hook Food Vendors, Robicelli's Cupcakes, and Big Apple Popcorn.
