Jason Denton, formerly of Lupa is set to open Bar Milano on 3rd Avenue at 24th street, where the cuisine will focus on the Northern regions of Italy.
Robert DeNiro will open Ago Ristorante at The Greenwich Hotel, which will be modeled on other Agos he has opened across the country and feature fare from Liguria and Emilia-Romagna.
Seamus Mullen is planning to open a larger version of his tapas restaurant Boqueria in Soho at the former space occupied by Kin Khao.
Marc Meyer and Vicki Freeman's Provence in the West Village will be closing on April 20 and reopening as Hundred Acres.

San Francisco
Joseph Manzare's and Eddie Maiello's Pescheria closed on April 5. It is slated to reopen in several years in the site over the old Bahia Cabana lot, at 1600 Market Street, near Zuni Café.
More Yountville happenings: Thomas Keller's long-planned Burgers and Half Bottles might see the light of day, as the current space holding Ad Hoc is enlarged to accommodate two restaurants.
Michael Mina will be opening a new restaurant and wine bar in Cisco's SoMA district inside the Millenium Tower. The restaurant will be RN74 named after the famous "route nationale" or highway that bisects the region of Burgundy. The space is being conceived by AvroKo, the same designers behind Public and The Stanton Social in NYC.
Chef Michael Chiarello will be opening a signature restaurant in the town of Yountville in fall 2008 featuring a farm-to-table theme.
Miami, FL: Chef Michael Bloise has left Wish in Miami. After leading the restaurant to great acclaim for the last three years, he has left to pursue other ventures, and plans to remain in the Miami area.

South Florida: Chef David Mullen has left Angle at the Mandarin Oriental for Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak, Miami. He starts Monday the 23rd.
Joachim Splichal announced the appointment of Kevin Meehan as Executive Chef as his new Beverly Hills restaurant, Paperfish. Kevin Meehan joins Paperfish from Patina where he had been working as Chef de Cuisine.
Just one more month, give or take, until Loteria Grill opens its full-service Hollywood Blvd. location... They've applied for a full liquor license, and the space at 6627 Hollywood Blvd. is huge and high-ceilinged, and seems to be coming along nicely, with space mapped out for a sidewalk eating area too. They're aiming for a mid-May opening.
Ravel Centeno-Rodriguez closed his Universal City restaurant, Minibar. The establishment debuted in 2004 and helped to ignite the city's small plates craze.

Andrew Brochu (formerly of Alinea, Chicago) has been appointed executive chef at Pops For Champagne. We haven't tracked down former Pops chef, Andre Christopher. We hope Brochu will get a tasting menu with Champagne pairings up and running...
