Essex, CT(7-1-10) - The Copper Beech Inn's Brasserie Pip
receives 4-star review from Hartford Magazine
The Copper Beech Inn, an Ivoryton Village Landmark renowned for its exceptional ambience, food and service, announced that it has received 4 Stars for its Brasserie Pip in the June Issue of Hartford Magazine.
The Brasserie Pip, a hip, casual dining experience at the Inn, offers an eclectic selection of classic French and American dishes stylized by Executive Chef Tyler Anderson.
Chef Anderson is committed to serving local, sustainable seafood, meats and vegetables, and incorporates these principles in his menu. Chef Tyler and his team run a full charcuterie curing room, working with locally-raised heritage pork breeds. Their daily charcuterie blackboard specials proved a significant highlight in the recent 4-star review.
Excerpt from the review:
"We encounter a couple of instances of perfection . . . the charcuterie! The blackboard lists headcheese, Ib?rico ham, pork terrine and foie gras mousse . . . the most luscious foie gras mousse that I have ever encountered." - Spencer Caldwell, Hartford Magazine.
The 4-star rating for the Brasserie Pip follows several recent awards and accolades achieved by The Copper Beech Inn including: a 5-star rating from Hartford Magazine for The Copper Beech Restaurant; and a 2010 AAA Four Diamond Award.
"Thank you to Hartford Magazine and notably Spencer Caldwell for his interpretation of the Brasserie Pip menu and chic, intimate atmosphere. Tyler's passion for food and flavor combinations are really making their mark." - Ian Phillips, Owner.
