Lyons Group Opens Ac's Lastest Hot Spots

Atlantic City, NJ(December 5, 2006) - LYONS GROUP OPENS ATLANTIC CITY'S
LATEST HOT SPOTS
AT THE PIER AT CAESARS

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - Prolific restaurateur and nightclub developer Patrick T. Lyons, founder and president of the Boston-based Lyons Group, has opened three of his company's highly acclaimed ventures, Sonsie, a warm European-style bistro, Trinity Irish Pub & Carvery and Game On!, the ultimate sports fan experience, at The Pier at Caesars located on the city's historic Boardwalk at 2100 Pacific Avenue. With the addition of this $18 million dollar project, the Lyons Group's portfolio now boasts 30 dining and entertainment hot-spots spread out over three states on the East Coast.
"We've been looking into branching out from the New England area, and the Pier is a good fit," says Lyons, who with 28,000 square feet of restaurant space and more than 900 seats, is the largest independent restaurant operator in Atlantic City.
Sonsie, the first addition to Boston's famed Newbury Street European-inspired cafi and bistro, extends its acclaimed seasonal cuisine and vibrant bar scene to Atlantic City. Wooden and glass doors separate the bar and dining room from a stylish lounge that overlooks the winding, glass-enclosed walkway that looks out over the ocean. The welcoming and casual restaurant offers guests a breakfast cafi, long wooden bar, and a private dining area in the wine cellar.
Sonsie features all-day dining seven days a week. Some of the dishes offered include: Seared Diver Scallops, with root vegetable sticks and butternut squash with star anise sauce; Tea Smoked Duck Breast, with white corn, jalapeno cakes and confit salad; and Crispy Braised Lamb Shank; with couscous and ancho chile sauce. The menu also includes made-to-order brick oven pizzas, a selection of pastas dishes and steak frites served eight different ways.
At Trinity Irish Pub & Carvery guests can enjoy the charm and cheer of the Emerald Isle with perfectly poured pints and delicious dishes that go beyond traditional pub standards. The casual bar and restaurant features eight beers on tap, including Guinness, live music, two bars and a fireplace. The carvery, stationed behind one of Trinity's bars, presents a daily selection of freshly roasted meats, all hand cut to order. They include: Herb Roasted Free Range Chicken, with thyme chicken gravy; Apricot Stuffed Boneless Pork Loin, with apple fritters and whole grain mustard sauce; and Herb Rubbed Boneless Leg of Lamb, with mint jus.
Game On!, which originated inside the world renowned Fenway Park in Boston, is the ultimate sports fan experience with all the excitement of front row seats for a playoff game. The cutting-edge venue features more than 90 high definition plasma televisions tuned to the day's hottest sporting events, a state-of-the-art sound system, mechanical bull and mezzanine level private Skyboxes, with bottle service, private bathrooms and mini-fridges. Game On!'s extensive menu features authentic hometown favorites, prepared from recipes and ingredients imported from a variety of US cities. Whether its Po' Boys from New Orleans, chicken wings from Buffalo, clam chowder from Boston, or cheesesteaks from Philadelphia, Game On! has something to put every fan in the mood to root for their home team.
To oversee the day-to-day operations, Lyons appointed Vince Chiaramonte as vice president of his Atlantic City properties, and Martin Doyle as Executive Chef for all three restaurants. Chiaramonte has extensive experience in operating large casino and resort restaurants, and Doyle, an award-winning, Irish-born chef, spent the past ten years supervising kitchens at the Red Eye Grill, Windows on the World and Sulian at the Borgata.
With more than 20 years of hands-on experience in conceptualization, development, construction and operation of theme entertainment facilities, Patrick T. Lyons has earned the recognition as a leader in the hospitality industry. Through his extraordinary vision and keen business sense, the Lyons Group, which he formed in Boston in 1981, has grown from a single dance club to 30 restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment venues, each with its own specialized appeal, spread out across three states. Following 12 years of remarkable success developing and operating nightclubs, Lyons turned his attention to creating distinctive restaurants. Some of the Lyons Group's highly acclaimed creations include: Paradise Rock Club; Harvard Gardens; Sonsie; and The Tiki Room.
Following the tremendous success of his restaurants, Lyons expanded his scope again in 2003, and built an entirely new entertainment concept, Kings Lanes Lounge and Billiards, a sprawling 25,000 square foot facility with 16 bowling lanes, eight billiards tables, three bars, and a restaurant constructed within an old movie house. While completing this project, Lyons struck a deal with the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut to develop a 20,000 square foot multi-concept entertainment complex, which now includes Lucky's Lounge; The Dubliner; Ultra 88 Nightclub; and Jasper White's Summer Shack a partnership with renowned chef Jasper White. In addition to creating original concepts for his own company, Mr. Lyons was instrumental in bringing the Hard Rock Cafi to the US, first in New York in 1984 and later Boston in 1988. He is also co-founder and developer of the House of Blues, which he brought to Cambridge, MA, New Orleans and Los Angeles.
