3. Chef Interview Question and Tip: Bryan Ogden of Bradley Ogden, Rising Star Chef
Chef Bryan Ogden is the chef and wine director of the restaurant both named for and founded by his father Chef Bradley Ogden in Las Vegas. His menu of modern American cooking is market-driven and changes daily.
Chef Ogden's favorite question to ask potential line cooks once again reinforces the need to prepare for an interview by not only polishing up your resume, but also researching the company or restaurant where you are interviewing: "Why do you want to come to Bradley Ogden? If they don't know about us or our food, the interview's over." And be prepared to demonstrate passion for your craft: "There are 25 cooks in our kitchen and they are all here because they live for and love food."
Chef Ogden's advice to young cooks reflects his kitchen's menu, which is seasonal and changes daily: "Eat out and always order something you have never had. It's the same for wine."

4. Jobseeker Resume Tip: It's Not Me, It's You
Resumes and cover letters often fail to impress their intended audiences because they are focused on what the job seeker wants, and not what the employer is looking for. Although you, the job seeker, are the star subject of your resume and cover letter, each document you send out in connection with your job search should appeal to the needs of your prospective employer. If you can demonstrate that you can help them meet their business's needs in your resume, cover letter and interview, you should soon find yourself with an excellent new position. Why? Although the typical underlying message of most resumes and cover letters is something like this: "Hire me because I need a job and I want to work for a restaurant/chef/hotel that will look good on my resume," in actuality, the best resumes and cover letters convey the idea that you understand the company's needs and can help amplify production, decrease waste, and increase profits.

7. Rias Baixias: The Wine From Celtic Spain
The unique atmosphere of the Rias Baixias region in Spain recalls the green hills and rainy weather of Ireland. Luckily, this combination of mineral-rich soil and plenty of precipitation make for excellent wine. So next time you're enjoying the shrimp and mollusks that are also favorites of this region, why not try the fresh, light taste and vibrant acidity of a Spanish white wine featuring the Albariqo grape?
