If you are really interested in working for a specific company or person, seek them out and let them know. A great way to get your foot in the door is to offer to come and work for free for a trial period. You will have the opportunity to prove yourself and show the employer you are serious about your interest.

During an interview, if an employer questions your qualifications for the position, let them know you are available to come in and demonstrate your skills “on-the-job”. This approach will set you apart from other applicants and may lead to getting the job.
