| 4. CEO's Dish: Job Swapping A fantastic way to enhance your staff’s expertise and provide additional training is to have them participate in job swapping. Swapping allows your employees to broaden their knowledge, gain great experience, and reinvigorate their creative energy. It is an opportunity for your staff to learn new cuisines and techniques. Send your employee to work for a master chef, a restaurant with a different type of cuisine, or to another country to learn traditional culinary techniques. An employee switch does not necessarily need to be done simultaneously and can be paid or unpaid, depending on the situation and your budget. Restaurants can continue to pay their employees during their swap or employees may be willing to work for free for the opportunity to work with a master chef. Contact restaurants and chefs that you think would be appropriate for a swap and ask them to participate. Also, find out the chefs your employees would be interested in learning from. Outline the specific goals you would like your employee to achieve during the swap so there is a clear understanding of why they are participating in a switch. offer a series of scholarships in conjunction with the StarChefs Rising
Stars Revue™. These merit-based scholarships will be awarded to
students and budding culinary professionals who demonstrate exceptional
ability, motivation, and the potential to have a positive impact on the
