| 5. CEO’s Dish: Work
Stress
If your employees are exhibiting signs of stress while on the job there
are some steps that can be taken to help relieve them.
- Help prioritize their projects in order of importance and set reasonable
deadlines
- If possible, delegate some of their responsibilities to others with
a lighter workload
- Give them support and respond positively to their communications with
you
- Recognize their efforts upon completion of a project
It is also a good idea to encourage your employees to take short breaks
to be refreshed and rejuvenated. Breaks along with the other outlined steps,
will allow employees to be happier and more productive in your workplace.

7. Participate in Restaurants
Against Hunger - October 19, 2004
Since 2001, over 100 restaurants in New York and surrounding areas
have helped Action Against Hunger (AAH) by participating in Restaurants
Against Hunger—inviting customers to have dinner in their establishments
and donating a percentage of their profits to AAH. This year, the event
will take place in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago,
New York, and Boston. The event will be a win-win proposition for both
participating restaurants and AAH.
- The event will be held on a Tuesday night, typically a slow night,
in order to increase business for restaurants on that day.
- A minimum donation of 20% of sales for the night is requested in order
to generate media coverage, provide high quality public relations for
restaurants, and maximize donations for AAH.
