Lynne Rossetto Kasper is host of public radio's food show. The Splendid Table with Lynne Rossetto Kasper, produced by Minnesota Public Radio and Tom Voegeli Productions and distributed by Public Radio International. The show is the winner of the James Beard Award for best national radio show on food, and the Gracie Allen Award for best national/network/syndication talk show from the Gracie Allen Awards of the Foundation of American Women in Radio and Television.
Ms. Kasper is one of our country's most respected authorities on the subject of food and maintains a high profile in the national media. She has appeared on In Julia's Kitchen with Master Chefs, Good Morning America, Jim Lehrer News Hour and Later Today, and has written for national publications including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Bon Appetit and The Washington Post. Ms. Kasper brings nearly 30 years of professional experience to her work as lecturer, teacher and writer. Her book, The
Splendid Table: Recipes from Emilia-Romagna, the Heartland of Northern
Italian Food, is the only winner of both the Julia Child Best Cookbook of the
Year Award and The James Beard Cookbook of the Year. Her second book, The
Italian Country Table: Home Cooking from Italy's Farmhouse Kitchens, was
published in 1999 by Scribner. A founder of the International Association of
Culinary Professionals, she is also a member of The Author's Guild and was
elected to Italy's L'Accademia Italiana della Cucina.
