Yield: 4 Servings


4 egg buns
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 5 1/3-ounce burger patties
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
4 slices American cheese
Thousand Island dressing
12 dill pickle slices
4 leaves iceberg lettuce
4 slices tomato

Brush tops and bottoms of egg buns with melted butter and toast on a grill or griddle until golden brown. Season burger patties with salt and pepper and put on grill/griddle. Flip patties, top with 1 slice American cheese, and cook burgers to desired doneness.

Drizzle Thousand Island dressing onto both sides of the toasted egg buns. Lay three pickle slices on each top bun and 1 leaf iceberg lettuce on each bottom bun. Put the burger patties on top of the lettuce leaves and then top each patty with 1 slice of tomato and the top bun. Serve immediately.
