Original Red Bryan's Barbecue Sauce

Yield: About 4-5 gallons

    POT 1
  • 1 gallon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 gallon hot water
  • ¼ gallon white vinegar
  • ½ pint liquid smoke
  • ½ pint hot water
  • 1 case Heinz ketchup
  • ¾ gallon hot water

Heat and stir over a low fire, do not boil.

    POT 2
  • 2½ Tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2½ Tablespoons salt
  • 2½ Tablespoons onion powder

Mix thoroughly, and then add:

  • ½ quart lemon juice

Stir, then add:

  • 1½ gallons hot water

Then, remove Pot 1 from the stove and pour it into Pot 2 and stir.
