Halloween desserts are not relegated to pumpkin-driven dishes. Pastry Chef Karen DeMasco of Craft in New York uses peak-of-the-season granny smith apples to make her green apple jelly, a bright and tangy accompaniment to her lemon verbena panna cotta.

Chocolate lovers will enjoy the Flourless Chocolate Torte with Triple Chocolate Ganache and Orange Whipped Cream from Pastry Chef Angela Tustin of Plate in Philadelphia. Add a few drops of orange food coloring to the whipping cream to create a decadent dessert that plays up the holiday theme.
