Jason Kosmas of Cocktail Conceptions – New York, NY
Adapted by StarChefs
This is a fun and messy drink since you must mash all the ingredients
together. The fresh ginger compliments the flavors of cranberry
and lime while injecting a little zing into the cocktail. The result
is a stunningly vibrant array of deep reds and green over ice. To
make it you will need a muddler tool, more commonly known as a pestle
to properly mash the ingredients.
Yield: 1 Serving
Ingredients:
- 20 cranberries
- Half a lime, quartered
- 1 small piece fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
- 1 ½ ounces Plymouth Gin
- ¾ ounce Cointreau
- ¾ ounce cranberry juice
Method:
Place cranberries, lime, ginger and sugar into a mixing glass
and mash them using a muddler. Add remaining ingredients, fill with
ice and shake. Pour all contents (including ice) into a Collins
glass.
