Drinks Party - Volume III on StarChefs   I

B L O O D   O R A N G E   C O C K T A I L

Muddled Blood Oranges, Bitters and Grand Marnier combine to produce a complex, deep citrus flavor.


  • 3 Blood Orange Wedges*
  • 1 tablespoons Superfine Sugar
  • 1/4 ounce of Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1 dash of Angostura Bitters
  • 2 ounces Grand Marnier
  • 1 Blood Orange Wheel


In a mixing glass muddle Blood Oranges, Sugar, Lime Juice and Bitters.
Add Grand Marnier and shake vigorously with ice.
Strain into a Chilled Martini Glass.
Garnish with a Blood Orange Wheel.

* Blood Oranges are a seasonal fruit available from mid December until the end of January.
