What
makes a restaurant gain a loyal following solely for their crab
cakes? Is it the technique? The 'secret ingredient'? The amount
of love in its preparation? To celebrate the 4th of July, we
decided to offer up different recipes from some of the finest
chefs along the Eastern seaboard (and even a StarChefs mom!).
Some chefs declined to share their secret recipes. Each recipe
has its own twist, from crushed oyster crackers to Tabasco.
