CAREERS THROUGH CULINARY ARTS PROGRAM'S
4TH ANNUAL BENEFIT
PREVIEW OF SPRING DINING TO BE PRESENTED BY
NEW YORK'S TOP CHEFS
The Careers Through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) will be honoring
Jacques Pépin at its fourth annual Benefit on Tuesday, February
26, 2002 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Abigail Kirsch PIER SIXTY at Chelsea
Piers. Jacques Pépin will receive the C-CAP Honors Award, an
original stainless steel sculpture created especially for the occasion
by Philip Grausman.
The Gala Benefit is being chaired by Barbara Fairchild, Editor-in-Chief
of Bon Appetit Magazine, with restaurateurs Ken Aretsky and Diana
Lyne (Patroon, Butterfield 81, 92) and C-CAP founders Richard and
Susan Grausman serving as event co-chairs.
At this year's Benefit, Preview of Spring Dining, guests will get
a chance to sample Spring menu items from
thirty-six of New York's top restaurants. Participating chefs will
be on hand with C-CAP students to assist them. Marcus Samuelsson of
Aquavit and Michael Lomonaco of Windows on the World will serve as
Chef Committee CO-Chairs Participating chefs include:

Education,
Food & Wine Magazine, Loews Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels &
Resorts, Union
Square Hospitality Group and illy caffè.
Guests will enjoy the grand tasting of savories and sweets, while
drinking
wines from Mondavi and Champagne by Gosset, and participating in a
silent
auction offering exciting culinary and travel packages. Al Roker of
NBC's
The Today Show will be the Master of Ceremonies.
The Gala Benefit is open to the public. Tickets are $300 (limited
