Action Against Hunger invites you to the
Fifth Annual World Food Day Gala at The Metropolitan Club of New
York City on October 5th, 2004 at 6:30 pm. Honorary Chairman Dr.
Elie Wiesel, author of Night, and Gala Co-Chairs Alexis Azria and
Ketty Pucci-Sisti Maisonrouge, will honor President Nelson Mandela,
Dr. Yvonne Grellety, and Martin E. Franklin of the Jarden Corporation.
The Gala features star
chefs, great cuisine, and a live auction presided over by Nicholas
MacLean of Christie's. The event will raise funds for Action Against
Hunger's life-saving international programs.

ABOUT WORLD FOOD DAY
World Food Day is a worldwide event designed
to increase awareness, understanding and informed, year-around action
to alleviate hunger. It is observed each October 16th in recognition
of the founding of the UNFood and Agriculture Organization
(FAO) in 1945. The first World Food Day was in 1981. In
the United States the endeavor is sponsored by 450 national, private
voluntary organizations.
