Action
Against Hungers second annual benefit gala for
World Food Day will take place on Tuesday
October 16, 2001 at Tavern
on the Green, Central Park at West 67th Street, New
York City from 7 11 pm.
This date also signals the beginning of Restaurants Against
Hunger, a week-long citywide campaign aimed at increasing awareness
of the hunger epidemic that continues to plague the world.
This years gala will feature:
Jeff
Bridges, internationally renowned actor and director
Ariane Daguin, D'Artagnan
Frank McCourt, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Angela's Ashes
and Special Guest Billy Baldwin
Dinner featuring Honoree Ceremony, Live Entertainment, Live
and Silent Auction
Festive Dress
We
dedicate this benefit to the victims of the September 11th tragedy.
As a disaster relief organization, proceeds will benefit disaster
victims worldwide, including vulnerable U.S. families affected
by this crisis.
Proceeds to benefit vulnerable families affected by the terrorist
attacks of September 11th and victims of disaster and hunger
in in 40 countries.
The Table Host Committee has already secured nine tables of
ten, at $10,000 each. Tickets to the public will be on a sliding
scale:

Underwriter Ticket:
An
underwriter ticket entitles the purchaser to prime seating at
the gala, listing as underwriter in the evening program, and
a copy of the book The Geopolitics of Hunger.

Sponsor Ticket:
A
benefactor ticket entitles the purchaser to priority seating
at the gala, listing as benefactor in the evening program, and
a copy of the book, The Geopolitics of Hunger.

the gala and listing as supporter in the evening program.
