presents the 2004 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo –
Los Angeles. The Expo will be held at the Los Angeles Convention
Center beginning Saturday, August 28, 2004 and continuing through
Monday, August 30, 2004. Attendees will have the opportunity to
see first-hand new innovative ideas in the restaurant, foodservice
and hotel industry, by finding the products that they are looking
for to improve and operate their business effectively and cost-efficiently.
The trade show and conference will bring together over 700 leading
companies representing thousands of products and services. This
year’s attendees will include restaurant owners and managers,
chefs, caterers, hotel and foodservice operators, purchasing agents,
dealers/ suppliers and corporate executives operating restaurants
and foodservice establishments throughout California and the entire
West Coast.

The City Culinary Golf Classic
This year’s tournament is being held at the Malibu Country
Club. Cost per person is $125 if registered before August 1 and

SATURDAY AUGUST 28TH
CRA Hall of Fame Gala Reception and Dinner
The Hall of Fame Gala is presented by the California Restaurant
Association’s Educational Foundation (CRAEF) and will take
place at the Millennium Biltmore. The Gala honors leaders -- both
individual and corporate -- involved in California’s foodservice
industry. During the 2004 Hall of Fame Gala Dinner, CRAEF will present
the Restaurateur of the Year and Corporate Partner of the Year awards,
as well as the induction of a new member to CRAEF’s Hall of
Fame. During the cocktail reception, there will be recognition of
the 2004 Innovator of the Year winners and Foodservice Employees

StarChefs has organized an ‘Industry
Only’ after party from 10:00 pm – 12:00 midnight at
Cinch restaurant in Santa Monica. The after party provides an opportunity
for chefs, kitchen crews and other foodservice industry professionals
to talk one-on-one and network with each other outside of the Show.
The event will be an opportunity to meet with the who’s who

The CRA Innovator Awards recognize the newest and most ingenious
products at the Show. Finalists will be judged in July and the awards
will be presented at the VIP Press Reception and Ceremony during
Expo. This year, all the contestants will display their products
in the R&I Menu New Product Showcase throughout Expo. Entries
are considered in 10 categories: appetizer, entrée, dessert,
healthy food, non-alcohol beverage, alcohol beverage, heavy equipment,
light equipment, technology and environmental/safety. For more information
