Women Chefs and Restaurateurs (WCR) Hosts a Dinner to Benefit Scholarship and Internship Programs

WCR (Women Chefs and Restaurateurs) will host its second annual At The Table benefit, featuring a reception, dinner and silent auction in support of the education and advancement of women in the culinary field. The proceeds of the event will go towards funding a variety of scholarship and internship opportunities for women at all stages of their culinary careers.
The multi-course dinner will feature dishes from both local and national female chefs, sommeliers, and winemakers including Helene Keenan of Bon Appetit at the Getty Center, Susan Maddox of Le Titi de Paris, Ina Pinkney of Ina’s, Terry Riesterer of Paragon Chef, Deann Bayless of Border Grill at Topolobampo, Elvia Granados of Francesca’s, Rachel Collins of Collins Caviar, and Michelle Garcia of Bleeding Heart Bakery.

The Mission of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs is to promote the education and advancement of women in the restaurant industry and the betterment of the industry as a whole. Formed in 1993 by eight of the nation's top women chefs and restaurateurs, Women Chefs & Restaurateurs has grown to a membership of over 2,000 members. This year the organization will offer a wide variety of educational opportunities through their Scholarship & Internship program, designed to provide education, travel, wine studies and internships to women in all sectors of the restaurant industry.
