Opening on a Tight Budget: Talking Biz with Farm Burger’s George Frangos

INTERVIEW:
Opening on a Tight Budget: Talking Biz with Farm Burger’s George Frangos

Farm Burger is on a mission to change the way you think about a burger joint. The sparse décor (think road-side truck stop) means this locale can offer the best ingredients possible at knock-out prices. You’ll find 100 percent grass-fed beef and pork—care of Moonshine Farms—in everything from pickled beef tongue to fluffy bacon-studded grits. And of course there are plenty of burgers, but don’t expect just the typical toppings here; pickled beets, creamy goat cheese, and arugala can top that grass-fed patty. With an eye on expansion (current locations include Decatour and Buckhead, Georgia), this team has found just the way to make farm fresh veggies part of quick-cuisine, and burgers so right, while opening, and operating, on a tight budget.
