"Regal" Gold Rush

Yield: 1 Cocktail


For the Honey Syrup
(Yield: 1 quart)
3 cups honey
1 cup water
For the Cocktail
2 ounces Buffalo Trace bourbon
¾ ounces lemon juice
¾ ounces honey syrup
1 4-inch by 2-inch grapefruit peel


For the Honey Syrup:
In a small sauce-pan, heat the water to a simmer and add honey. Stir until dissolved and cool completely before using.

For the Cocktail:
In a Boston shaker, add Kold Draft ice, whiskey, lemon juice, Honey Syrup, and grapefruit. Shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds. Strain over Kold Draft ice in an Old-Fashioned glass.
