Basic Fruit Smoothie and Variations
1. Older children can help cut up the mango or other fruit into 2-inch chunks. Younger kids can pour the milk or juice into the blender. Add the fruit and let the kids process on high for about 30 seconds.
2. Have the children uncover the blender and add the ice cubes, two at a time, blending with the lid on for about 30 seconds after each addition or as long as it takes for the mixture to become smooth. Next, kids can add the honey and vanilla, processing for a few seconds to distribute well. The finished mixture should be smooth and frothy.
