Sanctuary On Camelback Mountain Plays Culinary Cupid With Valentine's Day Dinner And A Sweethearts Getaway
More than a few hearts have surrendered to the sight of a magnificent sunset giving way to starry skies over the Sonoran Desert. This Valentine's Day, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain will celebrate the traditional lovers' holiday by hosting an epicurean dinner for two at the award-winning elements. And for those who find themselves unable to resist the romance of a view that spans from a star-filled night above to the lights of Paradise Valley below, the intimate resort invites couples to extend the evening's magic with a Sweethearts Sanctuary weekend escape.
For its Valentine's Day dinner, elements' executive chef and Food Network star Beau MacMillan has conjured up a four-course, food lover's delight. A sampling of the menu includes Wild Mushroom and Foie Gras Soup With Puff Pastry, Black Truffle and Thyme; Barolo Braised Short Ribs With Sweet Corn Grits, Candied Root Vegetables and Lobster Yuzu Hollandaise; Sesame Crusted Sea Bass With Celery Root Cream, Tomato Confit and Basil Pisto; and Chocolate Hazelnut Torte With Hazelnut Joconde, Dark Chocolate Mousse, and Smoked Sea Salt Caramel. Dinner will be served from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and is priced at $105 per person, excluding taxes and gratuities.
Couples can continue the celebration with the Sweethearts' Sanctuary, a luxurious package that includes the Valentine's Day dinner plus two nights in a spacious casita with a private patio overlooking the valley. The package also features a 60-minute Couples Massage or choice of two 60-minute treatments at the intimate, award-winning Sanctuary Spa.
Available Thursday, Feb. 13 to Sunday, Feb. 16, the package starts at $1,614 for two people for two nights and is based on availability. Taxes and gratuities are additional.
