The Critically Acclaimed Bartender & Industry Expert Moves on to the Next Chapter of his Spirited Career by Mixing his Cocktail Know-How with the Digital World

New York, NY April 7, 2016               Maxwell Britten, renowned bartender and industry influencer, is delighted to announce his new position at The Liquor Cabinet —the soon to launch beautifully designed and highly curated cocktail and spirits app and site— as Chief Brand Officer. After five fruitful years as Head Bartender and Beverage Director at the three times James Beard nominated Maison Premiere, Maxwell is embracing his entrepreneurial spirit and integrating his exhaustive liquor knowledge into a new creative outlet, where his passion for the industry can live on in the digital space.

“It’s been amazing to work at Maison Premiere and I can say that I am extremely proud of everything that I achieved during my time there. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit and after these several very successful years, I’m overjoyed to join The Liquor Cabinet team and pursue new creative outlets that incorporate what I know best with technology and marketing,” says Maxwell. “For me, building the Liquor Cabinet means the opportunity to merge my expertise with my ambitions and try out new ideas in a big way. Having an ubiquitous platform to share my knowledge and educate users is rewarding and inspiring at the same time.”

Founded by siblings Patrick, Sean and Peter Janelle in 2015, The Liquor Cabinet is a two-fold, digital resource that will take form in both a fully integrated app (coming Spring 2016) and an online platform where spirits will come to life in the form of classic cocktail recipes, unique stories, stunning imagery and in-depth unbiased information (full debut in late 2016). The Liquor Cabinet’s mission is to provide a definitive and inspiring resource for all things spirits related and offer its users a single source of in-depth, authoritative, and trustworthy information all within an engaging environment that is striking in design and seamless to navigate. As Chief Brand Officer of The Liquor Cabinet, Maxwell will be responsible for vetting and testing each cocktail recipe & spirit showcased, cataloguing the seemingly limitless information featured and offering a passionate, dependable and unbiased educational viewpoint throughout.
