Jean-robert De Cavel Opens Second Downtown Cincinnati Restaurant Jean-robert Teams With Pastry Chef Jean Philippe Solnom To Open French Crust Cafe
Jean-Robert de Cavel, chef and owner of Jean-Robert's Table, announces the opening of his second restaurant, French Crust Cafe, Tuesday, September 17, 2013. The cafe, located at 915 Vine Street, in downtown Cincinnati, will serve breakfast and lunch. Jean-Robert is teaming with pastry chef and chocolatier, Jean Philippe Solnom.
"Jean-Philippe and I have talked for a long about opening a cafe just like this. So when the space became available, it was the right opportunity to collaborate with my longtime friend, Jean Philippe. Especially because it is so close to the Table" says Jean-Robert.
French Crust Cafe seats 26 people and will offer full-service breakfast and lunch, including traditional French pastry such as croissants and brioche, fruit tarts, as well as soups, sandwiches, quiches, and casserole entrees. The cafe features Jean-Robert's signature design style: casually elegant with a touch of whimsy. French Crust Cafe will be open Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Breakfast hours are 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Coffee and pastries are available all day.
Like Jean-Robert, Jean Philippe Solnom is a French Master Chef. He most recently has been the pastry chef at Jean-Robert's Table and the owner of Jean Philippe Chocolatier. Nationally acclaimed chef Jean-Robert de Cavel is the owner of Jean-Robert's Table. Both chefs are generous with their time, working with local and national causes like Zoofari, Taste of the NFL and 1 Night 12 Kitchens. They both live in Northern Kentucky.
