JAAN CELEBRATES BEING RANKED THE 100TH BEST RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD
JAAN celebrates being amongst the world’s finest with a ranking of 100th at The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2014, sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna. In addition to ranking the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, the coveted list also recognises a selection of international dining establishments positioned from 51-100.
Organised by Restaurant Magazine, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants is an annual list compiled by a distinguished panel of over 900 of the world’s leading food journalists and industry influencers from 26 geographical regions. There are no pre-determined nominees and votes are compiled by The Diners Club® World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy.
JAAN was one of 17 restaurants in Asia to be recognised on this global list, and one of five in Singapore. The new ranking marks the restaurant’s first entry on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list since Chef de Cuisine Julien Royer took the helm in 2011. It comes on the heels of JAAN’s ranking of 17th at the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2014 that was announced in February.

Born into the fourth generation of family farmers, Chef Julien trained under Michel Bras at Laguiole and Bernard Andrieux who reinforced his beliefs in showcasing the natural, distinctive beauty of every ingredient on a plate. At JAAN, Chef Julien continues to enthral his guests with his Modern French cuisine that seamlessly blends the rusticity of his upbringing with the finesse of fine dining.

Recently, JAAN was appointed Krug Ambassade in Singapore, hand selected for its commitment to unparalleled quality.
