HYATT REGENCY NAMES RUSSELL YOUNG AS EXECUTIVE CHEF

The Hyatt Regency San Antonio is pleased to announce Russell Young has been named Executive Chef for the hotel, overseeing all culinary functions of the property, including Q Restaurant & Bar and all on-site catering functions. Chef Young joins the Hyatt Regency San Antonio team from Hyatt Regency Monterey in Monterey, California.

Hyatt Regency San Antonio is the sixth Hyatt property to enjoy Young’s culinary skills in his 20 year career with Hyatt. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Young began his career in 1993 as the Chef Tournant for the El Conquistador Resort & Country Club in Las Crobas, Puerto Rico, before joining the Hyatt team in 1994. His career with Hyatt has taken him to several locations including Beavercreek, CO; St. Lucia; Columbus, Ohio and Denver, CO, as well as Monterey, California, where he served as the Executive Chef at the Hyatt Regency Monterey.

A native of northern California, Young is enjoying his new adventure in San Antonio. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, gardening, photography and spending time with his wife, Shannon, and their two Labrador Retrievers, Jobi and Darby.
