Hakkasan New York Receives Top Honors With Prestigious Michelin Star And Concierge Choice Award 2013

Hakkasan New York, the authentic modern Cantonese restaurant located in midtown Manhattan, has been awarded the esteemed one star rating from Michelin for the second year in a row. In addition, the restaurant has been honored with a notable Concierge Choice Award for 2013.

Located at 311 West 43rd street, Hakkasan New York continues to be home to one of the city's most popular dining destinations since opening in 2012. The prominent restaurant features outstanding contemporary Cantonese cuisine, an extensively curated cocktail and beverage selection and impeccable service creating an unparalleled dining experience.

Michelin stars are awarded to a restaurant for the outstanding work of the chef and his or her team. At the helm of Hakkasan New York's kitchen is seasoned International Development Chef Ho Chee Boon. Garnering the Michelin acclaim, Chef Ho Chee Boon developed a Cantonese menu created with local flavors and influences unique to Hakkasan New York. Chef Ho also crafted a number of new recipes specifically tailored for sophisticated New York clientele.

The Concierge Choice Awards celebrate the finest in New York City hospitality and recognized Hakkasan New York in a Best Restaurant category at a ceremony at The Loeb Boathouse Central Park on September 30.

A stunning 11,000-square-foot space, Hakkasan New York was the second US restaurant for the global dining group and opened in April 2012 in midtown Manhattan. A spectacular 80-foot entranceway greets guests as they enter the 200-cover restaurant, which has been designed with a deep blue color scheme and red and pink undertones, punctuated by Italian marble slabs, semi-transparent glass and mirrors.
Special dishes inspired by local flavors and influences have been created for the New York clientele by Chef Ho Chee Boon, and include stir-fry lobster with wild mushroom XO sauce, and truffle braised egg noodle with enoki mushroom. Hakkasan classics are also available, plus bespoke Asian-inspired desserts and specialty cocktails.
