Four Gold Medals for Viña San Pedro in Concours Mondial de Bruxelles

The latest version of the acclaimed Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held at the beginning of this month, distinguished four wines from Viña San Pedro with Gold Medal.

The competition celebrated its 20th year with this edition, and after rotating through various winemaking communities worldwide, returned to settle in the Belgian capital, its city of origin, receiving more than 8000 samples from 41 countries.

The winners from Viña San Pedro that earned the esteemed Gold Medal are:
- 1865 Limited Edition Blend, vintage 2010, Cachapoal Valley
- 1865 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc vintage 2013, Leyda Valley
- 1865 Single Vineyard Malbec, vintage 2011, Maule Valley
- Castillo de Molina Reserva Carménère, vintage 2012, Maule Valley

The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles has established itself as a benchmark in international wine competitions, and it is greatly respected by professionals and consumers worldwide for its tireless search for quality wines and for revealing the industry's latest trends. The select panel of judges was composed of more than 300 specialists, among them sommeliers, importers and journalists.

These significant distinctions confirm once more the excellent work that Viña San Pedro is carrying out with its celebrated 1865 and Castillo de Molina brands. Marcelo García, head enologist of both lines, confirms: "For the enological team it is a great merit to receive four Gold Medals in this important and traditional competition. We believe we are doing things the right way, and we hope that the presence and strengthening of these brands internationally will continue to grow."
