FLAT® brings more design and flexibility with two new restaurant table base product lines
Operators now have additional options to eliminate wobbly tables

CHICAGO – May 22, 2014 – When it comes to eliminating wobbly and misaligned tables, FLAT Tech Inc. provides the only table bases that automatically stabilize tabletops and enable leveling with other tabletops. Restaurants, hotels and bars now have additional table base options, as FLAT introduces two new table bases at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show in Chicago.

Cafés, restaurants, hotels and bars will appreciate the European flair of the new FLAT Tech decorative base (Auto Adjust PX23 Under X Base). This sturdy cast iron base is a popular design in Europe, now available to U.S. foodservice operators. The PX23 table base is available with an optional zinc coating.

To provide even more flexibility for operators, FLAT now offers two-pronged table bases (Auto Adjust KT22). These bases are used in pairs and are built to support a maximum tabletop size of 36 inches wide by 84 inches long (36” x 84”). Suitable for nearly any type of tabletop, including rectangular and oval, these table bases provide maximum space underneath the table. In addition to accommodating larger tables, KT22 table bases provide restaurateurs with a table option in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

All FLAT table bases solve two common problems for operators:
• The wobbly table – floors in restaurants and bars are rarely level, which leads to wobbly tables. FLAT eliminates the wobble.
• Table misalignment – it is very common in restaurants and bars to push two tables together to accommodate larger groups. FLAT ensures that the joined table edges align at the same height, eliminating the uneven gap that frustrates patrons and operators.

FLAT table bases achieve their level and alignment capabilities through an award-winning hydraulic system. The patented system underpins a range of table base options including round, square and x-shaped bases, cast iron, polished aluminum and stainless steel finishes, and standard and bar heights.

FLAT bases are available nationally through http://www.flattech.com and in select areas through dealers. “Our customers are increasingly seeking more design options and flexibility when it comes to table bases,” said Mike Drake, President of FLAT Tech, Inc. “We feel every restaurant that values stability and levelness in their tables should have a table base design that fits their needs.”
