Clement At The Peninsula New York Launches Brunch

Clement, the newest dining experience in The Peninsula New York, announces the launch of brunch starting Sunday, November 24, 2013. The prix fixe menu, created by Chef de Cuisine Brandon Kida, features Contemporary American cuisine with an emphasis on ingredients sourced from the Northeast and can be enjoyed in Clement's urban setting of relaxed sophistication overlooking Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

The $49 prix fixe menu will be available on Sundays and includes a variety of delicious options.

Guests begin with a starter market tasting plate and artisanal breakfast pastries for the table, followed by the choice of a main course with an accompanying side dish, which is topped off with a trio of seasonal desserts. Guests will also have the opportunity to enhance their brunch experience with Oysters (half-dozen, $15), free-flow Champagne ($28) and/or a Bloody Mary ($18) with an assortment of ingredients from the Bloody Mary Bar.

Chef Brandon Kida has designed a menu that features only the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients. In addition to beloved brunch staples like Belgian Waffles and Eggs Benedict, guests will find offerings that are both innovative and familiar such as the Signature Burger with dry-aged beef, cheese and popcorn or the Beet Salad with farmhouse yogurt, beet gazpacho and walnuts. Other menu items include Cavatelli Pasta from Brooklyn with short rib ragu and Parmesan cheese; an Egg White Frittata with butternut squash, Gruyere and fine herbs and a Taste of Fall plate with Woodlands ham, seasonal offerings and hazelnut vinaigrette.

Guests will also have the opportunity to choose from a vast array of garnishes and spices to design their perfect brunch cocktail at the Bloody Mary Bar. Bar Manager Rich Lilley has created a bar to include a number of pickled ingredients including okra, dill spears, green beans, asparagus, blueberry juice and pineapple juice. Other items include raw oysters, beer, shrimp, olives, spiced salt for the rim, a selection of hot sauces and horseradish root.
