In April Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar Celebrates The Empanada With A "win Empanadas For A Year" Contest
Washington, D.C., -- April is officially National Empanada Month and Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar will be celebrating by offering one lucky customer the chance to win delicious stuffed pastries for one year! Guests who dine at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar for brunch, lunch, dinner, or during "Caippy Hour" during the month of April are entered into the raffle when they order the Mam� Amelia's Empanadas. Additionally, in the midst of the competitive fun, Cuba Libre will hold a special Dollar Empanada Happy Hour on Tuesday, April 8th during "Caippy Hour," from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Customers can enjoy four signature empanadas: Ground Beef, Chicken, Mozzarella and Pulled Pork for just $1 each as part of their National Empanada Day celebration.
For each order of Mam� Amelia's Empanadas purchased, guests will receive one raffle ticket, which will be entered into the drawing. Guests can also choose to enter without purchase by mailing a three inch by five inch handwritten index card with the phrase "I Want Empanadas" to 520 N. Columbus Blvd, Suite 303, Philadelphia, PA 19123; must include name, address, email address, phone number and preferred Cuba Libre location.
On Thursday, May 1, one lucky winner will be chosen to receive free empanadas for one year. Winners will receive a laminated card with his/her name establishing the individual as a grand prize winner. This special card must be presented to the restaurant manager upon redemption. Card is non-transferrable. When card is presented winners can receive up to one (1) complimentary order of two (2) Cuba Libre's Mama Amelia's Empanadas per day; dine in only (no takeout orders) available at lunch or dinner as well as at the bar. If a winner chooses not to dine on a certain day, the allowed empanada order for that day will be forfeited and not redeemable on a future date.
Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar has set an internal goal to sell 5,000 empanadas in April 2014, which is 2,500 more than what was sold in April 2013. In addition, 50 cents from each empanada sold will be donated to DC Central Kitchen, America's leader in reducing hunger with recycled food, training unemployed adults for culinary careers, serving healthy school meals and rebuilding urban food systems through social enterprise. This excludes the empanadas sold at the Dollar Empanada Happy Hour on Tuesday, April 8th during "Caippy Hour".
