Favorite up-and-coming wine region?

It is very difficult to pick just one, but I think with all of the interest in Malbec, Argentina may be the most exciting. They are really making a name for their unique terroir and creating a buzz about the grape and the region. The wines are great and modestly priced, even at the high-end of the price spectrum.

Favorite wine resource?

The Oxford Companion to Wine by Jancis Robinson, MW.

Most exciting trend in wine?

People are beginning to appreciate cool climate wines (such as those of the Loire Valley or New Zealand), which were first overlooked because of their delicate, often earthier flavors, but are now being favored because they are lower in alcohol, easier to drink, and pair better with food.

Favorite food and wine pairing?

One of the food and wine pairings I eat over and over again is Blue Ribbon's Sweet and Spicy Catfish served with mashed potatoes and collard greens paired with a Trocken Riesling, either German or Austrian.

What’s your next project?

Maslow 6 is still looking for the space that will become Maslow 6 Wine Club, a private wine club where collectors can store and enjoy their wine, take a wine class or attend a tasting, have dinner or a light snack with their wines, or just stop by to pick up a bottle or two.
