On Thursday, April 5, New York City will host the 2nd Annual Varli Food Festival. This event gives chefs and food lovers alike the chance to meet and taste with several of the world's top Indian Chefs, including Vikas Khanna, Hemant Mathur, and Vikram Vij, not to mention "Top Chef's" Padma Lakshmi, who will host the event.

The festival, put on by Varli Magazine, will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion from 5pm to 10pm, and will include tasting booths from over 60 restaurants, a free spice market (yup, you read that right), culinary demonstrations, and cookbook signings.

And the competition is sure to heat up at Varli's first ever Live Varli Cook Off: Heritage of India, which will be hosted by Chefs Jehangir Mehta and Maneet Chauhan on April 6. Tickets start at $100 for general admission and $50 for the Cook Off. Be sure to sign up for both events now–chances are, tickets are not gonna last!
