LUCQUES PRESENTS AN EVENING WITH DAVID TANIS AND “ONE GOOD DISH”

Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne Host Tanis for a Book Signing and Dinner Inspired by his New Cookbook

WHAT: LUCQUES, the flagship restaurant owned by Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne, welcomes Chez Panisse alumnus David Tanis to the restaurant for a dinner celebrating his James Beard Foundation nominated cookbook, One Good Dish. Suzanne featured Tanis in The A.O.C. Cookbook with her recipe for parsnips and turnips with sage and prunes – prefaced with a charming story about his influence on her when she worked under his guidance at Chez Panisse during the early stages of her career.

The family style dinner will be served in the newly remodeled patio of Lucques with spacious communal seating for guests. The dinner will also feature a spectacular variety of wines from In Pursuit of Balance – the highly acclaimed group of 31 independent, family-run wineries who share a commitment to seeking balance in California pinot noir and chardonnay.

Pricing for the dinner is $95 per guest and includes all specially selected wines and a copy of “One Good Dish.” For this night only, David Tanis will appear to personally sign copies of the cookbook.

IPOB was created by Rajat Parr of Michael Mina and RN74, and Jasmine Hirsch of Hirsch Vineyards, to celebrate wineries striving to produce balanced pinot noir and chardonnay in California. Our first event was held in San Francisco in 2011.This growing group of producers is seeking a different direction with their wines, both in the vineyard and the winery.
