Pastry Chef Yoshikazu Kizu of Ritz Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes - Biography
A native of Tokyo, Japan, Yoshikazu Kizu abandoned his childhood plan of being a tour guide to follow a sweeter route, graduating from pastry school 2000. Straight out of school he landed a position at local pastry shop Kona To Tamago, where he worked every station—from making cakes to selling them. After three years Kizu joined the team at the Tokyo Disney Ambassador Hotel. His next move took him to the Ritz Carlton Tokyo, where he acted as pastry chef for three years. When the wider world called, Kizu transferred to the Ritz Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes in Florida. There he creates desserts with a clean modern aesthetic, incorporating specialty Japanese products to share his culture with a wider American audience.
