Sommelier Winn Roberton of Bourbon Steak - Biography
A native of the Washington, D.C. area, Winn Roberton always found himself enthralled by food, geography and foreign languages, so it’s no surprise that wine became his passion. Working in restaurants while attaining a music degree at Penn State, he found himself lost in maps of France, Italy and California and subsequently honed his service skills as a server and bartender in Las Vegas' mainstay restaurants such as Nobhill, Craftsteak, and Carnevino.
Roberton is also a regional brand ambassador for Cointreau, and is currently on the wine team at Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak in Washington, D.C., where he oversees the wine cellar management, staff trainings and floor service. He is currently studying for the Court of Master Sommeliers' Advanced exam and hopes to make some noise in upcoming sommelier and mixology competitions.
