Rising Star Chef Sean Hardy of Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalow - Biography
Santa Monica, CA
Sean Hardy, a Boston native, has brought a little bit of East Coast inspiration to Los Angeles for over a decade. First as executive chef at The Belvedere, and now as the director of food and beverage at Santa Monica’s high-end Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, Hardy has found success by combing his love of the industry with his business chops.
Hardy trained and graduated with high honors at The Culinary Institute of America in New York City. Through his education, he brought extensive managerial experience to The Peninsula Beverly Hills. During his hiatus from the hotel, he held a series of prestigious culinary positions including: executive sous chef at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, lead chef instructor of the New England Culinary Institute, and executive chef of The Lodge at Koele in Lanai City, Hawaii, which was rated Top Resort in the Pacific by Condé Nast Traveler. Trading in his chef whites for a suit and tie, Hardy made the move to front of the house with his current position, as director of food and beverage at Santa Monica’s high-end Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows.
