Chef Rory Bancroft of Terrapin Taproom & Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q - Biography

Hailing from Glenwood, Illinois, Rory Bancroft received his formal training at Joliet Junior College in nearby Joliet. There, he was a member of the Culinary Hot Foods Competition Team and The Culinary Scholastics team.

After graduation, Bancroft began his career cooking in hotels and country clubs across the Midwest. He was also executive chef at Century Center in South Bend, Indiana, Zephyr Cove Resort in Lake Tahoe, and the iWireless Center in Moline, Illinois.

He joined Delaware North as the executive chef at Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri, the former home of the NFL’s St. Louis Rams. In 2016, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to join the culinary team at SunTrust Park, the state-of-the-art home of Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves. 

Bancroft is an active member of the American Culinary Federation and The National Restaurant Association.
