Sommelier Nichole Dishman of Viognier - Biography

Before moving to California, Nichole Dishman and her chef husband Preston were owners/operators of Dragonfly Bistro in Fort Myers, Florida. A move to downtown Sonoma brought them to The General’s Daughter, and Dishman to her career in wine. Dishman is currently pursuing both her master’s diploma through the Court of Master Sommeliers and her winemaking certification through UC Davis. She’s been the winemaker for biodynamic Sonoma Solstice since the 2010 vintage. Currently general manager and wine director for Viognier restaurant in San Mateo, Dishman has earned the restaurant Wine Spectator’s “Best of Awards of Excellence,” overseeing 1,050 labels with a focus on wines from Europe and California.
